We closed on our house on August 7th. There's going to be A LOT of cleaning and painting before we can move in. So, we closed on Friday and set up an appointment for Empire to come out for an estimate to replace the flooring on Saturday. Monday they installed the flooring. The carpet that was taken out was soooo disgusting, we decided that we didn't want to work in the house with that carpet in. And sometimes we have to take Stevie and he didn't like being confined to the tile in the kitchen. I forgot to take before pictures of the floor, but the new floors look great. We put a like laminate in the living room and hallway, and carpet in the bedrooms. I've been cleaning the trim and walls for a week and I'm still not done. I've had to use a toothbrush to scrub all the nastiness out. Surprisingly the bathtubs are spotless. I think they must have had a cleaning crew come and and clean the bathrooms and wash the floors and vacuum the carpet. I'm glad I don't have to scrub the tubs because these people were filthy. I'm posting some before pictures, I'll post some work-in-progress pictures soon. And I'll remember to get a picture from the outside too!
