Homeschool On A HIll

The weather is finally starting to turn into GORGEOUS weather.  We went to the forest preserve a few days for walks last week.  One day (I didn't have my camera) Stevie made friends with 2 girls who were setting up a slackline and he did some slacklining with them.  Slacklining is rope walking/balancing on nylon webbing that is secured to 2 trees.  And since it has been so nice we decided to also do some homeschool at the forest preserve.

We brought Bobby along for a walk.

We walked up a hill and 'planted' ourselves on a bench. (I just love Lizzie's pose in this picture)

Because there are no leaves right now, we got a nice few of the marsh.

The kids drew some pictures of what they saw around them.

Then we took a walk on some of the hiking paths.

My kiddos

We stopped to cool down and have a snack afterward.

While we were having our snack, we saw a turtle heading toward the marsh

Now time for some climbing

And cuties

Everyone wants to join in

There are some downed trees that Stevie enjoyed climbing

Lizzie attempted to control Bobby on the leash

What beautiful babes on a beautiful day.

Bonus
A few pictures of Lizzie on her way out the door to a birthday party.
She LOVES wearing sunglasses
