I've been meaning to write this post for a while.  I was really struggling with Stevie and trying to figure out a way to help him understand there are consequences to his actions, good or bad.  Well, we have a dry erase board up for home schooling and this was the perfect (and cheapest) way to start a behavioral chart.  We deal in smiley faces and frowny faces now.  Each smiley face gives them a rock, each frowny face takes one away.  Then when we settle up, each rock gets them 10 cents.  Then they have 3 banks - one for tithing, one for savings and one for spending.

When the jars get pretty full that's when we settle up.

These are the good days :)  Believe me - there are days when there are so many more frowny faces :(
