Project
I want to thank my new friend Joy for giving me motivation to fix this bookshelf up instead of selling it and buying a new one. She used Minwax Express Color wiping stain on a few of her things and it came out wonderful. So she gave me the idea to stain our bookshelf, since it is wood. I'll also be staining the shutters in the dining room (but not today!).

very nice! i have yet to take on a big project like that! i'm always too nervous. love it!
It was so easy Kate! I didn't have to sand it because there was no finish on it and I just had to rub the stain on with a rag. I did it while Lizzie took a nap. Although, right now I think you probably have your hands full!
