My little boy is growing up. He's been showing a lot of interest in reading for a while now, but we've just started working on it the past couple of weeks. When we were in Texas I got a new Hooked on Phonics kit at a consignment sale for 7$ and it was 7$ well spent. It comes with about 20 little books and a game for the computer. He loves the computer game and reads us 3 of the books already. I think tomorrow I'll be pulling out the 4th book. He can spell a few words on demand, one of them being 'poop'. A while back he kept on saying the word poop and it was driving me crazy, so I told him he couldn't say it unless he could spell it. That is one word he has not forgotten how to spell. Coincidently 'poopoo' is one of the few words that Lizzie says. She says 'dada poopoo' and 'poopoo diapa'!! How funny is that! It seems to be a theme in our family. I'd like to blame it on just Steve, but if you come to a Swanson family get-together, at some time there is potty talk.
