June and July brought about lots of flooding. I think the picture below sums up just exactly what you can do. After the first flood we ordered a new building for Steve. We had gotten everything up a foot off the floor and had very minimal damage. We weren't so lucky on one of the next floods that went up 18 inches in his workshop. Unfortunately the new building hadn't been finished being built or delivered. So we had damage to lots of supplies and equipment in the workshop. Paul and Steve also had lots of damage to many power tools and other equipment in the garage. All is well though and the stress of all that has passed. My heart goes out to those whose homes get flooded. We were lucky that our homes are safe from the flood zone.
Just sit and wait for the rain to let up
But with it being July and living in Missouri, it meant the guys could feel a little better by making things go BOOM!
Another trip to the firework store.
Crazy eyes
It's fun to watch them run away
Lots of smoke
Love the outfit Liz
Here are a few more flood pictures.
The fence finally gave way from all the weight of the debris piling and the water rushing.
The garden got lots of water this summer
How far the water went in the garage
How high it was in Steve's workshop. Not posting other pictures of damage. It was too much of a bummer!
Progress upstairs. Since we couldn't do anything from the floods and the damage Steve really focused on making the rooms.
He started on a Monday and finished the next Monday!
He's a working machine!
Lizzie's room is purple
Stevie's is blue
