I actually did this a few months ago, but just found the pictures and thought I'd post it.  This is a mirror that my father made and has travelled with me since I moved out of the house.  The green color is a bit marked up and no longer works with our decor, so a quick fix was to add a little paint.  I used the same paint from the dresser and I think it looks great.
