Some Days in September

We gave the kids a chore to do and it took them Forever!  They had to put all the kindling wood into that shed in the back of the picture.

So I went out and micromanaged.

And took some pictures.

Went inside every once in a while.  Took a picture of Stevie's grape tower

Let them take a few animal breaks

.
Check out that progress!

Almost done!!!

Woohoo!!  The task has been finished!

Good job kids!

Lizzie has been facing a lot of her fears lately.  She spends most of her time in the deep end while at gym and swim.  She loves to be in the water now.

Check out the pony.  Pretty neat huh?!

One of the activities at Cub Scouts.

Guess who?  Lizzie and her buddy Havah!  They have fun together while their brothers are participating in Cub Scouts.

Steve while a short lived Webelos leader.

.
Check out that beautiful sky

Dad and Stevie working on the latest pinewood derby car

Yes Stevie helped a bunch hahaha!

During construction

Lizzie picking up hickory nuts

Can you see the toad?  The kids made a rock house for a toad they found.  It actually spent most of the day in there!

Stevie's finished Derby car!

This is the stone heart that Sharon and Paul placed for Grandpa Ed.  They received his ashes from a science institute and buried them here.  He loved living here.  We sure do miss him and wish we could have shared this time with him.

And this is the view from the stone.  Beautiful!

We have gotten many visitors from our neighbors yard.  These are the funniest, I think.  The kids said that Grandpa Jack smacked one of their backsides to get it moving out of the yard and it farted in his face.  Hahaha!  Fun times in Windyville.

Thanks so much for sharing those photos Erin. So good to see how all is going and staying in touch. I should do the same for you guys, but watching grass grow is not the most photogenic. If something happens, I'll be sure to send it off via FB
